Rachel and Nate’s Bayshore Grove Wedding in Oswego, NY

Rachel and Nate’s Bayshore Grove wedding in Oswego, NY was the perfect example of what a summer waterfront wedding in Central New York should feel like. Their wedding was July 11, 2025. The wedding day was joyful, relaxed, and full of energy from beginning to end. The reception was a PARTY. It was the type of reception you didn’t want to end.

Set along Lake Ontario in Oswego, their celebration took place on a warm summer day that ended with one of those classic Oswego sunsets over Lake Ontario. The entire day felt fun, easygoing, and full of laughter, which perfectly reflects Rachel and Nate as a couple.

These two genuinely have the best time together. They are always laughing and bring such a positive energy wherever they go. That joy was felt throughout their entire wedding day and made photographing their celebration such a fun experience.

A Beautiful Waterfront Wedding at Bayshore Grove

When Rachel and Nate started planning their wedding, they knew they wanted a venue on the water. A Bayshore Grove wedding was the perfect fit.

Located right on the lake in Oswego, Bayshore Grove offers beautiful waterfront views and the kind of setting that feels relaxed while still being incredibly scenic. Their ceremony overlooking the water created the most beautiful backdrop, and as the evening rolled in the sunset over the lake made the day even more unforgettable.

For couples planning a Bayshore Grove wedding, it is easy to see why this venue is such a favorite in the Oswego area.

Classic Summer Wedding Style

Rachel and Nate chose a soft color palette of light blue and light gray, which complemented the waterfront setting perfectly.

Nate and the groomsmen wore light gray suits that worked perfectly for the summer heat. The bridesmaids wore beautiful light blue dresses that tied everything together and mirrored the color of the lake.

Rachel looked absolutely stunning. Her dress fit her perfectly and her cathedral veil added such an elegant, timeless touch. One of the most meaningful details she wore was a pearl necklace that has now been worn in three generations of weddings in her family. Family heirlooms like that always make a wedding day even more special.

Personal Touches Throughout the Day

One of my favorite details from Rachel and Nate’s wedding was how they included their dogs in the celebration.

Each reception table number featured a different photo of their dogs. Even though their dogs were not physically at the wedding, they were still such a fun and meaningful part of the day. Guests loved looking at the photos while finding their tables, and it added a personal touch that reflected Rachel and Nate’s life together. During the reception there were even big cutouts of the dogs faces!

Their ceremony also included a moment that perfectly reflected their personalities. Nate surprised Rachel with a ski shot during the ceremony, which had everyone laughing and set the tone for a celebration that was full of fun.

Family played an important role throughout the day as well. Nate’s twin brother stood beside him as his best man, and Rachel’s dad gave a speech that was heartfelt and memorable.

A Wedding Party That Brought the Energy

Rachel’s bridesmaids brought so much energy to the entire day. The song “Bring Em Out” became the unofficial theme of the wedding and was even playing when Rachel did her first look with her bridesmaids.

From that moment on, the celebration never slowed down. Everyone was ready to celebrate Rachel and Nate, and the joy in the room was contagious.

The Perfect Oswego Sunset

One of the best parts about photographing weddings in Oswego is the sunset over Lake Ontario, and Rachel and Nate’s wedding day delivered a beautiful one.

As dinner began to wind down, we stepped outside for a few sunset portraits by the water. The golden light reflecting off the lake created the most romantic atmosphere and gave Rachel and Nate a quiet moment together before heading back to the celebration.

Moments like these often become some of the most meaningful parts of a wedding day.

Kind Words From Rachel and Nate

“From our first conversation with Alicia, we knew we had found the perfect photographer for our wedding day. Her communication style was thorough, consistent, reliable, and she was always accessible to answer our questions.

The quality of her work is truly meticulous. The photos have a light and airy, bright, happy, and vivid look that perfectly captured the joy of our special day.

As two people who had never had professional photos done, Alicia helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera starting with our engagement shoot and carrying over to our wedding day. She kept everything easy and on track while helping calm our nerves on the big day.

We are thrilled with the beautiful memories Alicia was able to create for us and highly recommend her services to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding photographer.”
