Brittany and Jamie’s Hayloft on the Arch Rustic Wedding

September is a beautiful time of year to say “I do” in Upstate New York, and there really isn’t a more gorgeous location for couples looking for a rustic wedding than Hayloft on the Arch. Brittany and Jamie brought all the love and fall vibes, and I was so thrilled to be able to capture their wedding day and all that it entailed.

Most love stories begin when two people meet at just the right moment in their lives and Brittany and Jamie were no exception. When they found each other, they knew it was meant to be, and they have created a beautiful blended family. Brittany came into the relationship with her dog who she loves more than life itself (and yes, the fur baby showed up at the wedding wearing a gorgeous flower collar and smiling in the way only a dog can smile). Jamie came with two incredible children, a son and a daughter. After the ceremony, I was chatting with Jamie and he shared with me that he knew that Brittany was the “the one” when he saw how good she was with his kids and how much they liked her too. Seeing them all become one family truly touched my heart.

That First Look Moment

First looks can be one of the most special moments for couples when they decide to incorporate one into their wedding day but Brittany and Jamie took it up a notch by adding in first looks with family, which I loved! Brittany is fortunate to have strong and supportive men in her life and did a first look with her father and her stepfather. Talk about happy tears! Brittany and Jamie’s first look came next, and as Brittany approached Jamie from behind I caught her with the biggest smile on her face. After that special moment, Jamie did a first look with his daughter. She was so excited to see her dad, give him a huge hug, and show him her beautiful flower girl dress. There was pure love and joy on both their faces!

Rustic I Do’s

The entire wedding was a photographer’s dream at Hayloft on the Arch. This venue is one of the most perfect choices for couples looking for a countryside location with rustic touches. The natural elements are beautifully landscaped and incorporated into the space, including a stream, trees, a chapel, and plenty of outdoor spots like the one Brittany and Jamie chose for their ceremony. And did you see that actual tin-roofed barn in the photos and that interior during the first dances? The soaring ceilings and wooden beams really added to the ambiance of the reception.

The Best Day

You can tell from the photos that Brittany and Jamie’s wedding was simply perfect. From the gorgeous fall colors incorporated throughout from the bridesmaid’s dresses to the flowers Brittany and her ladies carried. Brittany was stunning, and couldn’t stop smiling, and you could see the love in Jamie’s eyes whenever he looked at her. But most important – especially to the couple – was the presence of the family – his, hers, and theirs – who were there to support them as they truly became one on their wedding day.
