It’s no secret that forming strong relationships and establishing trust with your present and past clients is an important part of being a wedding photographer. And this is precisely why I give my 100% to anyone who trusts me to photograph one of the biggest days of their lives. It’s pretty simple – when I do things right, my clients come back for more!
I’ve known Jenna since high school and have taken photos for her in the past. When Jenna and Brandon were getting ready to secure Old Hickory Farm as their venue, they called me to make sure I had the date available before they signed the contract with the venue. I thought that was so incredibly flattering and meant a lot to me. The couple had a wonderful outdoor ceremony, and it was an honor for me to photograph their special day.
Jenna and Brandon’s wedding was absolutely beautiful. Old Hickory Farm in upstate New York provided an absolutely gorgeous setting for their outdoor ceremony near the pong and the reception took place in the barn.
I started my day photographing the couple getting ready. Jenna looked so elegant in her white bridal dress, and Brandon looked dashing in his black suit. Harry looked so adorable in a suit that matched Brandon’s!
Jenna and Brandon were surrounded by their closest family and friends on their wedding day! Brandon and Harry got emotional and teary-eyed seeing Jenna for the first time that day while she walked down the aisle; it was an extremely precious moment that I am glad I caught on camera! They both looked so happy and in love as they said their vows to each other.
One of my favorite moments of the wedding was when Brandon read his vows to Harry. He vowed to be the best stepdad to Harry and spoke from his heart. Harry was crying as Brandon crouched down and had him on his knee. Brandon’s vows were so touching and heartfelt that there wasn’t a dry eye during that part of the ceremony. It was such a beautiful moment to witness and I’m so grateful that I was able to capture it.
Jenna and Brandon were so easy to work with. They just wanted to go with the flow and enjoy their wedding day. They were so in love, and their poses for their couples’ portraits were just so effortlessly perfect. And Harry did so well when it came time to take his photos. He was so cute and full of energy. Later, he joined his stepdad for some father-son photographs, and they gave me the most wonderful, quirky poses together. My heart melted seeing the bond these two shared!
Just a few days before the wedding, Harry was exposed to COVID. It was a scary time for everyone involved, and because of the setback the attendees wore masks, but that didn’t stop them from having the best time.
Jenna and Brandon’s reception was full of fun and laughter. The couple had their first dance as husband and wife and then with their son. The look of joy on Brandon’s face as he hugged Harry was simply priceless. And the trio really seemed to be the perfect little team. As lovely as the newlyweds looked together, Harry stole the show by just being his cute little self. He was definitely the star of the day!
Jenna and Brandon, thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer. I feel so honored to have played a small role in such an important day of your lives. It was a truly magical day, and I wish a lifetime of happiness for your family. Congratulations, once again.
