Owera Vineyards Wedding | Caitlyn and Dan

Caitlyn and Dan’s wedding at Owera Vineyards was a beautiful, emotionally charged day. Weddings are not only all about celebrating two people madly in love tying the knot, but also about the uniting of their families. As a wedding photographer, it is always beautiful capturing the moments that often signify the ultimate union of two families. One lovely experience I’ll never forget was photographing Catlyn and Dan’s Owera Vineyards wedding. I remember when photographing their engagement session that, while I was taking photos of the couple, Kadence, Caitlyn’s daughter, was my little second shooter taking cell phone pictures behind me. I loved her excitement for her mom and soon-to-be stepdad. At their wedding too, Kadence was a darling being her mother’s sweetest bridesmaid. Seeing the family come together made my heart happy.

Caitlyn And Dan’s Owera Vineyards Wedding

I started the day photographing the bride and groom getting ready. Caitlyn looked stunning in her lacy white dress, while Dan was beaming when he put on his blue wedding suit. It was such a delight to see how excited they both were. And that excitement felt even more magical when we moved outdoors for the couple’s first look, where they had eyes only for each other.

One of my favorite moments was when Caitlyn, Dan, and Kadence did their first look together. Emotions were running high as the couple awaited Kadence for their first look with her. Their intimate yet joyful moment was so full of love and happy tears.

Some of the wedding day details…

Owera Vineyards was the ideal setting for Caitlyn and Dan’s wedding. The day was filled with sunshine and warmth that matched the beautifully displayed sunflower florals from the bride’s bouquet. The tented vineyard venue was lit up by the perfect natural lighting coming from the clear, blue sky and for me, the photography couldn’t have been any easier.

One special detail worth mentioning were the cufflinks the bride gifted to the groom. Caitlyn’s father had sadly passed away, but in honor of her dad she had cufflinks made with roses from his funeral for Dan. It truly was a unique way to include him still on such an important occasion.

Caitlyn looked warmly at Dan when she slowly walked towards him, clearly overwhelmed with joy. Kadence was so excited she couldn’t hold back her tears of joy while she watched her mom walk down the aisle, or during the recessional. Seeing so many tears of joy warmed my heart. Every moment of their union was filled with sunshine, love and a sense of family.

From the rustic charm of Owera Vineyards, to the newlyweds posing for their couples portraits at sunset, everything about their day was absolutely beautiful. It was such a delight to witness and capture the love. From the beaming smiles that lit up their faces when they looked at each other, to the stolen kisses as they played amongst the golden fields – their interactions were so romantic and blissful.

Caitlyn and Dan’s love was on full display during the first dance at their reception in front of their closest family and friends. The fun cake smash moment between Caitlyn and Dan proved to be one of the most humorous and photo-worthy moments of the night. Every time I shoot a wedding, I am reminded to cherish each moment because these memories last long after the cake is cut (and smashed).
