I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, being a wedding photographer is an amazing job! Being able to capture those special moments between a couple and their loved ones is always an honor and joy. From the various themes, settings, and decorations, to the choice of music that truly creates an atmosphere of celebration, I love documenting every fleeting moment that makes a couple’s wedding day unique and meaningful. Tom and Nicole’s wedding at Timber Banks Golf Club and Marina in Baldwinsville, New York was just such an event. The entire day was planned perfectly. Here are some of my favorite moments from their wedding day!
Tom and Nicole are both engineers and had a very methodical approach to picking their wedding vendors. They had spreadsheets with questions & kept track of the answers. And once I got to know them more, their goofy personalities really came out!
Nicole and Tom chose Timber Banks in Baldwinsville, NY as their venue, and for good reason. Not only does the location exude elegance and beauty, but also provides inclusive settings for couples to plan their dream wedding with ease. Located on the Seneca River and a golf course, the venue has so many amazing views. Plus, the ballroom has breathtaking scenery of the course with numerous windows, two stunning fireplaces, and incredibly tall ceilings!
I began Tom and Nicole’s wedding photography by capturing the getting-ready moments. Nicole was beaming with excitement as she got ready for the big day. The bridal suite at the venue was so spacious with a huge closet for extra stuff, a comfortable couch, a rack for the bridesmaids’ dresses, and also a mannequin to hang the bride’s dress! Plus, it also had a large bathroom with mirrors and salon-style chairs! It is by far the best bridal suite of all the local venues.
Nicole’s mom was with her the entire time, helping her make sure that all the final details were in place. The sweetest moment was when Nicole’s dad arrived and saw his daughter in her wedding dress. He paused to take it in and couldn’t hide his excitement at how gorgeous she looked. His reaction said it all! I love when brides do a first look with their dad. Nicole also did a quick first look with her bridesmaids and they were in absolute awe when they saw her.
For their wedding ceremony, Tom and Nicole got married in a beautiful church. Nicole held a gorgeous bouquet of white and pink flowers in her hand as she walked down the aisle with her father. Tom stood tall and handsome at the altar in his bow tie and had the brightest smile on his face as he waited to marry the love of his life. After exchanging their heartfelt vows, the lovely couple sealed their marriage with a kiss (or two!).
I also managed to sneak the newlyweds away for a few photos outdoors of just the two of them. The venue made it easy to find many different spots to take photos! Tom and Nicole were such a fun-loving couple, kissing and embracing each other, making it so easy to work with them. I also took more photos of the wedding party during the golden hour, and at this point, everybody was super relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. Nicole and Tom were goofing around and Tom “dropped it like it was hot” making everybody laugh like crazy!
Nicole and Tom’s wedding reception was full of cheer and excitement. The couple swayed to the music as they had their first dance as husband and wife. And as the evening continued, Nicole and Tom danced with their parents and were so happy to be surrounded by all their loved ones. Once the dance floor opened up the party really started! The dance floor was jam-packed the entire night and the DJ played some really groovy music, making it a memorable time for everyone.
Nicole and Tom, you are a match made in heaven! Thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer. I hope you love your wedding pictures as much as I loved taking them. Congratulations on getting married, and I look forward to capturing your future milestones. Cheers!
