Gabby and Joe had the sweetest, most intimate wedding at Wolf Oak Acres in Oneida, New York. Big or small, weddings are all about the celebration of love and people coming together to support the couple. I love how intimate weddings give me the chance to focus more on the bride and groom. There were so many beautiful details to capture at Gabby and Joe’s wedding. Keep reading the blog to see more beautiful photos.
Gabby and Joe wanted to get married in November so it’d be cooler outside. Upstate NY weather has a mind of its own and it ended up being 75 degrees. The beautiful Wolf Oak Acres property was the perfect place for their intimate wedding. Whether you’re envisioning a romantic ceremony in a barn or a quaint gathering by the pond, Wolf Oak Acres is perfect for your intimate wedding plans. Plus, it is one of the few climate-controlled barn venues in the area. You get the rustic barn vibes plus all the modern conveniences to keep yourselves and your guests comfortable.
Gabby and Joe decided to keep their wedding party small. The wedding party included a best man, a maid of honor, and a flower girl. The couple wanted to celebrate this joyous occasion with only their nearest and dearest family and friends. The result was a truly memorable day!
Gabby and Joe’s wedding ceremony took place indoors in a barn, which added a rustic vibe to their wedding photos. The barn had numerous windows through which soft, natural light was streaming in. The decor is rustic chic with gorgeous chandeliers, which add to the overall magic in the room. Gabby looked like a princess in her wedding dress, with her hair styled in delicate ringlets. Joe looked handsome in his tux. The couple was so happy and in love as they exchanged their vows.
The downstairs of the barn is where receptions are held at Wolf Oak Acres. Joe’s best man, Pat, gave an emotional speech at the wedding, and it was one of my favorite best man speeches to date. Pat told funny stories about him and Joe getting drunk for the first time and how Joe’s parents didn’t have a clue. Haha! I love hearing wedding speeches, they are so full of fun and leave you either hysterically laughing or crying. Pat perfectly narrated Gabby and Joe’s love story and had a great way of delivering the speech – it was filled with a lot of sentiment.
Gabby and Joe also had a romantic first dance as husband and wife and swayed together to the music, looking into each other’s eyes and sharing kisses. During the reception, I managed to sneak away with Gabby and Joe for a while so I could get some photos of just the two of them. By the look on their faces and the way they posed for me, it was clear that these two had been looking forward to getting married. And watching them soak it all in as I took their photos was truly heartwarming.
As a wedding photographer, I feel privileged to be able to witness some of the most intimate moments of a couple’s relationship. And there is nothing more intimate than a couple sharing personal vows with each other in private. Gabby and Joe did just that by the pond on their wedding day, and it was such an emotional moment. They both looked so deeply in love as they read their vows to each other, and I am so glad that I was able to capture this precious memory for them.
Joe and Gabby, you both are a match made in heaven! Thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer. I hope you love your wedding pictures as much as I loved taking them. Congratulations on getting married, and I look forward to capturing your future milestones. Cheers!
