Late September in Upstate NY brought the beauty of wildflowers to this gorgeous fall Hopshire Farm wedding. Guests, friends, and family came from all over the world to celebrate with Elle and Cesar. Though it was a small and intimate gathering it was filled with much love and joy.
Weddings at Hopshire Farm don’t happen often but are truly spectacular. The field of wildflowers was in full bloom. This added stunning color to the photos and a natural backdrop of beauty to the ceremony.
The day began with Elle and Cesar getting ready at separate locations. The bride chose to get ready with friends and family at her house and did a touching first look with them there. The looks of surprise and delight on their faces are evident in the photos. Elle’s dress was classic and fitted and she looked amazing wearing it. Her elbow-length veil was simple but just right to complete the look. Her bouquet was a clutch of white and purple blooms that were just perfect for the September vibes. I loved that Elle even incorporated her beloved pup into her bridal photos. Bring on the fur babies!
Cesar got ready with friends and family at a different location and took photos before the ceremony. He looked handsome in his dapper blue suit and floral patterned tie – truly a well-groomed groom!
Elle and Cesar used the wildflowers as the backdrop for their ceremony but also added touches of wild blooms in mason jars on the benches lining the aisle and on wooden posts that flanked them at the front. It’s always awesome when the wedding florals work with the natural environment!
Because the wedding was on the smaller side, the couple asked me to take photos of them with everyone who came to the wedding which was totally doable! I just love small weddings because this is really easy to accomplish and can be a really special keepsake for the couple as well as their guests, family, and friends.
I had two favorite moments for Elle and Cesar’s Hopshire Farm Wedding. First, was the short time period while we were waiting for the ceremony to start. During that time I was able to meet and chat with the guests and also take photos of all the couples who wanted one. This was a special use of time while everyone was waiting for the ceremony to begin and also made for a wonderful gift the couple could give to their attendees after the wedding.
My second favorite moment was the romantic photos of Elle and Cesar against the wildflowers. They looked so good together and I really loved how Elle’s turquoise shoes added a pop of color to the ensemble when they made an appearance. And check out that lift photo! They must have been practicing because it was practically perfect.
Hopshire Farm and Brewery is just that, a farm and a brewery. For those who don’t live in Upstate NY it might be surprising to think of a brewery as a prime location for a wedding, but we are absolutely seeing a surge of venues like these in this area. Brewery / Farms are very popular, easily accessible, usually have amazing rustic charm, and have great beer. Truly a winning combo for an upstate NY wedding day!
