Takeya and Shawn had their engagement session at Franklin Square Park in Syracuse, NY. As a Syracuse NY Photographer, Franklin Square Park is one of my favorite local spots for any session. There are so many unique spots at this park and it gives me time to walk around with my couples and get to know them better!
Walking around with Takeya and Shawn was a BLAST. I knew it was going to be a good time before we got to the session. I met these two at a bridal show after Crown Coordination by Courtney sent them my way, and we just clicked. Takeya and I spent a decent amount of time texting and it felt like we had been friends for a really long time. I even got a late lunch/early dinner with Takeya and Shawn after their engagement session. We ended the session near Salt City Market in downtown Syracuse. We decided on getting some delicious Jamaican food.
I learned that Takeya had no interest in having a wedding in a hotel. She is a member of the air force and spends a lot of time in hotels, so I can completely understand why she would want a different look for her wedding day. Boy, did she pick a venue that delivered on the wow factor! Sonnenberg Gardens looks like it is straight out of a magazine. The grounds are maintained incredibly well and it is simply breathtaking.
Their wedding just took place on June 17th and I am in the middle of editing their GORGEOUS photos. If you haven’t been to Sonnenberg Gardens you need to go! Until I am ready to post their sneak peek take a look at some photos from their engagement session!
